Skincare & Makeup Cheat Sheet.

I love Cheat Sheets, quick, helpful guides on all manner of subjects. So today I thought I’d write my very first cheat sheet on makeup and skincare!

  • Give your lips a lift! Apply a highlighter to your Cupid’s Bow (just above your lips) to instantly help your lips look fuller and more luscious. This works a treat when your top lip is less full than the bottom lip!
  • Too much powder? You’ve done your makeup, you’ve set your makeup with powder but oops…you’ve over-done the powder! What to do? Spritz your skin with a moisture mist to instantly help your skin look like skin again. I love MAC Fix+ for this job.
  • Get the dewy look! Give your skin that gorgeous dewy finish by applying a couple of drops of your facial oil to your foundation. Simply mix the oil with your foundation in the palm of your hand and apply using a sponge or foundation brush. Especially great on those days when your skin is looking dull & lack lustre!
  • Forgotten your eyeliner? You’ve gone away for the weekend and you’ve forgotten your eyeliner….yikes! Dip an angled brush into your mascara tube and apply it to your lash line. You'll get a similar effect to that of a gel eyeliner, voila!
  • Thirsty skin? Drink water….this is simply one of the best things you can do for skin, nails and hair. It’s free… (kinda) and the difference it can make is incredible.
  • Handy uses for facial oil! Use your face oil as an eye cream. Double up on the use of your existing products by applying any excess facial oil to your eye contour area. Apply the oil to your main areas of concerns (for me it’s forehead, between the browns and nose to mouth lines) and using any excess oil gentle massage this around the eye contour area.

So there you go, I hope this inspires you to ‘play’ a little more with your skincare and makeup. Products. It’s always fun to experiment and see what works for you. If you have any suggestions for a second Cheat Sheet, pop me over an email Until next time Sheelagh x
